As a bridge walker, I sizzle at indignant colonial social constructs and buoy with global narratives of recovery and restoration. I seek to find coherence in the incoherent – building new language while re-rooting in the ideological, ephemeral and real language of my ancestors. I express healing by challenging hegemonic ideas through the re-civilization of cosmic biology, painting provocative narratives of the aches and yearnings of growth within both micro and macro experiences – fertility amidst futility – the nature of being human living in personal and cultural dissonance. Re-mapping human will and universal design. My relationship with surrealism and parable feed my appetite for storytelling. I work to ground and celebrate the essential, utilizing the visual language of painting to provoke dialogue and social cohesions.
